CRDB Bank Plc, a leading financial institution, is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join its regional team. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with expertise in regulatory compliance to contribute to the bank’s growing operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Position Title: Compliance Officer Employment Terms: Permanent Location: DR Congo
Job Overview: The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all banking operations strictly adhere to local regulations and the bank’s internal policies. The ideal candidate must have a solid background in banking law, risk management, or financial regulatory compliance.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Target Audience: This position is exclusively for DR Congo Citizens.
- Qualifications: A degree in Law, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in compliance, audit, or banking regulatory affairs.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, integrity, and deep knowledge of Congolese banking regulations.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in banking operations, risk, audit, legal, or compliance functions is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a relevant academic background and strong interest in compliance may be considered.
- Basic understanding of banking regulations, AML/CFT principles, and compliance practices.
- Knowledge of KYC and customer due diligence principles is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, good report writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to review information with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
- Willingness to learn and develop in the compliance field.
- Proficiency in French and English is required.
- Working knowledge of Swahili and Lingala is an asset.
