Key Outputs and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain defined Technical Services plants and related processes to achieve optimal operational effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
- Plant Operations: Operating the Technical Services plant and processes efficiently while optimizing performance.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Performing housekeeping tasks and strictly applying 5S principles within the workspace.
- Quality Control & Analysis: Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses, and recording quality results on the appropriate information systems.
- Problem-Solving: Supporting the creation, drafting, and documentation of standard work procedures, including quick fix routines and problem-solving procedures.
- Team Participation: Actively participating in team communication, shift handovers, and performance review processes (PI reviews).
Minimum Qualification & Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the position:
- Education: A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Training: A minimum of 9 months of on-the-job training.
- Industry Experience: Direct experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry will be a distinct advantage.
- Skills: Excellent team collaboration skills and the ability to maintain clear operational shift logbooks.
