Core Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take full accountability for retail banking business performance and the end-to-end product lifecycle. The primary duties are structured as follows:

• Business Performance Management (30%): Lead end-to-end performance tracking for retail banking assets, liabilities, non-funded income, customer acquisition, and overall portfolio quality. Develop and monitor retail KPIs, dashboards, and management reports for Executive and Board consumption.
• Product Development & Management (25%): Lead the design, review, enhancement, and lifecycle management of retail banking products (including deposits, lending, payments, cards, agency banking, and digital products) ensuring they remain customer-centric and aligned with market trends.
• Financial & Commercial Oversight (25%): Ensure profitability, cost-to-income ratio optimizations, and cost efficiency of retail products while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (10%): Monitor product portfolios to ensure strict compliance with internal bank policies, risk appetite thresholds, and regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholder Management (10%): Act as the primary liaison between Retail Banking, Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Compliance, and Digital teams to drive productivity and operational excellence.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this senior management executive appointment, candidates must fulfill the following mandatory institutional benchmarks:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Management Studies, or any related field. A Master’s degree will be treated as an added advantage.
• Professional Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent recognized professional finance/accounting qualifications.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of active experience within Retail Banking, Finance, Business Performance, or Product Management environments, with at least 3 years served strictly at a management level.
• Core Competencies: Advanced analytical and performance management skills, deep business and financial acumen, strategic thinking, product development expertise, and exceptional communication/presentation skills.
