The Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation (Swisscontact) has officially announced a new Swisscontact Job Vacancy 2026 for the position of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will work closely under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.

📈 Key Responsibilities & Duties

As an M&E Officer at Swisscontact, your primary core functions will include:

  • System Implementation: Oversee the day-to-day implementation of all M&E activities within the SET project framework.
  • Framework Design: Support the technical design, continuous analysis, and regular writing of product updates.
  • Data Management: Manage, maintain, and update the project database alongside visual dashboards.
  • Reporting: Formulate technical reports, study reflections, and project summaries in alignment with the logframe.
  • Partnership Support: Assist and mentor partner organizations with basic data visualization and internal M&E frameworks.

🎓 Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this Swisscontact Job Vacancy 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field of study.
  • Professional Background: Proven hands-on experience in quantitative or qualitative research, preferably within donor-funded development setups.
  • Technical Toolkits: Excellent capability in utilizing digital data tools like KoboToolbox, ODK, or equivalent statistical software.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong exposure to baseline, midline, and tracer evaluation studies.
  • Social Inclusion: Solid understanding of Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) approaches in project implementation.
